Directions
Wateriders offers the original guided Chicago kayak tour. Since 1997, we have led thousands of adventurous people from all over the globe on an expedition into the history and architecture of Chicago.
Coming from North/Northwest: Take 90/94 east to the Ohio Street exit. This is a one-way eastbound. Turn Left onto Orleans and go North to Chicago Avenue, turn left. Go down to Larabee (600 West) turn right. Go North 2 blocks to Crosby turn left. Go to the stop sign at Oak Street turn left. Go to next stop sign at the intersection of Oak & Kingsbury and directly in front of you is the parking garage, park on the 3rd level or higher and take the elevator down to the River walk, you'll see our kayaks on the River walk.
Coming in on 290 or from south/southwest of the city: Take 90/94 West and Exit onto Ohio Street. This is a one-way eastbound. Turn Left onto Orleans and go North to Chicago Avenue, turn left. By cab: Asked to be dropped of at 900 N Kingsbury. If cab driver is not familiar have him/her take you to 600 West Chicago Avenue and at this point you'll be at Chicago Ave & Larabee, go north. Go up two blocks and turn left at Crosby. Go up to the first stop sign at Oak Street turn left. Go to the next stop sign at Kingsbury and turn left. Go down to 900 N Kingsbury. Go up the staircase, through the building, one long straight hall and upon exiting go down the grand staircase to the River walk. Once on the River walk turn right and walk approx. 30 yards to our storage. There is a ceiling over your head at that point, continue walking and when the ceiling ends go just past it to our storage, there will be kayaks on the River walk and there is signage in our window.
By CTA: Call them directly to get the most efficient route at 312.836.7000. When the recorded menu comes on hit zero (0) and speak with a live operator. Tell them where you are and where you would like to be and they will take care of everything for you providing you with times & schedules, specific train and bus information and arrival times. Once you arrive at 600 W Chicago Ave go North on Larabee to Kingsbury and turn left. Follow Kingsbury North to the entrance to the Domain Building at 900 N. Go up the staircase, through the building, one long straight hall and upon exiting go down the grand staircase to the River walk. Once on the River walk turn right and walk approx. 30 yards to our storage. There is a ceiling over your head at that point, continue walking and when the ceiling ends go just past it to our storage, there will be kayaks on the River walk and there is signage in our window.
